What to expect
The focus at Sillustani is the chullpas: towers used for burial. Look beyond their shape and ask who was buried there and how the structures were used. The neighbouring lake is Umayo, not Titicaca.
How it fits into a journey
Plan a separate visit from Puno. Combine it with a transfer only when the agreed route, waiting time and next commitment allow enough room.
