Five days on the Moche Route: Trujillo and Chiclayo

Five visit and travel days between Trujillo and Chiclayo: two bases, different cultures and no museum marathon.

What to expect

Day 1: Chan Chan with room for Huanchaco. Day 2: Huaca de la Luna and its museum. Day 3: transfer to Chiclayo without a fixed museum appointment. Day 4: Tumbas Reales de Sipán in Lambayeque. Day 5: Túcume, returning to Chiclayo. Travel into Trujillo and onwards from Chiclayo is outside these five days.

How it fits into a journey

Start in Trujillo and finish in Chiclayo. Use the bus connection between them for day 3. Lima belongs to your approach; Chachapoyas or any next destination needs a separate travel day.

Practical answers

Can I include El Brujo?

Yes, by adding a day or deliberately replacing a visit. Do not add it on top of the full daily plan.

Are these five days starting in Lima?

No. They begin after arrival in Trujillo. Travel into Trujillo and onwards from Chiclayo is additional.
